Purpose

Lab Managers use this page to manage user's access / user type(s).

User Types

A User Type is a custom tag that can be added to any user. The User Type can be used to create filtered lists of users when creating or editing a field on the Diagnostic Request or Diagnostic Order forms.

Roles

Roles provide a user permissions within the lab. Each user may have up to one role.

Currently those include:

  • View Access
  • Diagnostic Order Form Editor
  • Lab Tech
  • Lab Manager

Actions

  • A Lab Manager can create, edit, and delete User Types.
  • A Lab Manager can add or remove a user via Net ID / UIN.
  • A Lab Manager can change a user's Role for the lab.
